Just in case you didn't read the brief description on the Sale Horses page, Thatcher is VERY reluctantly offered for
sale. That's a good thing for you. That means I really, really like him. It's a bad thing for me because I thought he would
be one of my forever horses. But enough about that...
Thatcher is a very solid citizen. Very little phases him.
Lauren, a sweet girl who rides him every now and again, rode him the night of Harrison's bday party...think very noisy kids,
flashlights in the woods, hooty horns, etc. I watched, utterly amazed, as Thatcher stopped, stared at the crazy sights and
noises, and then nodded to himself and walked on. He has houndwalked several times and hilltopped once. No problems with the
hounds at all (no surprise here) and only got a little wound up when the field took off. Settled nicely. I imagine he will
be an old pro after one consistent season. He is cantering little courses in the cutest way possible. Doesn't care about the
jumps (surprise) and doesn't even take a peek when introduced to something new. He leads in the Woods - or follows; again,
doesn't really care either way. I picture him with someone who is ready for a no-drama kind of guy who can do a little bit
of everything. Forgot to mention - he is INCREDIBLY comfortable. I jumped a coop in the Woods and it felt like a big canter
stride. So nice and smooth. We'll be showing him in little shows and events this spring so he can see and be seen. I hope
he will get to hilltop a couple more times too. Come try him - but I won't watch you do so. I'll let Emile handle selling
this one.
